Launch of Pilot Program: Support and Advocacy Service

Introduction

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new development at Age in Spain — the launch of our Support and Advocacy Service Pilot Program!

This bold step comes from our first-hand experience supporting older English speakers across the country. Time and again, we’ve seen how a bit of practical support can make a world of difference — especially when navigating complex systems like healthcare, benefits, or residency.

As the only national charity dedicated to supporting older English-speaking people in Spain, we’re proud to launch a service that doesn’t just provide information — it takes action.

Our team of trained volunteer Advocates will:

  • Provide one-to-one support for complex cases

  • Assist customers in speaking  directly to service providers

  • Connect clients with trusted professionals

  • Build partnerships with local services and community groups

  • Raise awareness of common challenges and push for lasting change

Whether face-to-face or virtual, our goal is to ensure that older English speakers can stay active, independent, and valued members of their communities.
