Join Our Team as a Digital Support Assistant!

Do you have a knack for technology and a passion for helping others navigate the digital world? At Age in Spain, we believe that staying connected online is a vital lifeline, especially for the English-speaking community living abroad. We are looking for a patient, tech-savvy Digital Support Assistant to help our service users and volunteers gain the confidence they need to use digital tools effectively.

In this role, you’ll be the “friendly face” of our technical support, ensuring that technology acts as a bridge, not a barrier. Whether you are helping an older person set up a video call or assisting our team with internal digital tools, your work will directly reduce isolation and empower our community.

What You’ll Do:
  • User Support: Provide clear, patient guidance to community members on using essential digital tools (e.g., Zoom, WhatsApp, email, or online banking).
  • Resource Creation: Help develop simple, “jargon-free” how-to guides and video tutorials for our website and newsletters.
  • Internal Assistance: Support our team and regional volunteers with troubleshooting basic issues on our internal platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, CRM, or Slack).
  • Digital Inclusion: Identify common digital barriers faced by our community and suggest creative ways to make our services more accessible.
  • Data Coordination: Assist in maintaining accurate records of digital support requests to help us improve our service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A tech-literate individual who is comfortable explaining complex tasks in simple, everyday language.
  • Exceptional patience and empathy when supporting people who may have low digital confidence.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a significant advantage for navigating local websites/apps).
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, video conferencing tools, and social media apps.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a reliable part of a remote team.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in IT support, teaching, or coaching roles.
  • Familiarity with accessibility settings on smartphones and tablets.
  • Basic knowledge of website management (WordPress) or data entry.
Your Commitment:

We’re looking for someone who can dedicate at least 4–8 hours per week, ideally during standard working hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM). This role is fully remote, so you will need your own laptop and a reliable internet connection.

Why Join Us?:
  • Make a tangible difference by helping people overcome digital isolation.
  • Gain experience in service delivery and non-profit operations within an international context.
  • Build your communication and coaching skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
How to Apply:

If you’re excited about using your tech skills to empower others and strengthen our community, we’d love to hear from you!
