Join Our Team as a Communications Assistant!

Are you a storyteller at heart with a passion for making a real impact? Do you thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment where every message, story, and interaction helps connect and inspire people? If so, we want YOU to be part of our team!

At Age in Spain, we believe that clear, compassionate communication is the bridge to a more supportive community. As our Communications Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Communications team to bring our organisation’s mission to life across multiple platforms. You’ll play a key role in crafting engaging content, growing our online community, and ensuring that our message reaches those who need it most.

What You’ll Do:
  • Content Creation: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, reels, and newsletters) on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Community Management: Monitor social channels and respond to comments and enquiries with professionalism and a “human touch” to ensure every member of our community feels seen and valued.
  • Trend Monitoring: Track digital trends and identify opportunities to boost engagement and reach within the English-speaking community in Spain.
  • Performance Analysis: Review communication performance and provide insights to help improve our overall content strategy.
  • Campaign Collaboration: Work on innovative campaigns that align with our goals of empowering older people and tackling loneliness.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for communication and storytelling.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a significant advantage).
  • Strong understanding of major digital platforms and how to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with management tools and email marketing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for creative copywriting.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a proactive team player.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Express.
  • Experience managing communications for a non-profit or community-led organisation.
  • Skills in multimedia content creation—writing, photography, or basic video editing.
Your Commitment:

We’re looking for someone who can dedicate at least 8 hours per week, ideally during standard working hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM). This role is fully remote, so you will need your own laptop and a reliable internet connection.

Why Join Us?:
  • Gain hands-on experience in multi-channel communications and digital marketing.
  • Be part of a mission-driven organisation making a tangible difference to people’s lives in Spain.
  • Build a professional portfolio and grow your digital skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
How to Apply:

If you’re excited about this opportunity to help us inform, connect, and empower our community, we’d love to hear from you!
